ORANGE BURST SMOOTHIE | MUNCHWIZE DIETITIANS CAPE TOWN
Smoothies are a great snack. But the error many people make is that they load a smoothie with too much fruit and miss out on other important food groups. Give your smoothie that extra health punch and try to add some form of veg to boost that fibre and micronutrient content. By adding the veg you also decrease the total calories.
- 1/2 cup pineapple
- 3 celery sticks
- 2-3 sweet carrots
- 1/2 handful cashew nuts
- 3 tbsp. plain yoghurt / 1/2 avo
- Some ice cubes
Pop all ingredients into your NutriBullet or blender.
Blits to a smooth consistency. If you want a runnier consistency, add some extra water.
